Abstract: We formalise Computer Graphics rendering on isotropically emissive displays and demonstrate how to make those devices display the correct light-field. In contrast with previous approaches that just passed a volumetric (voxelized) representation of the scene, resulting in unwanted x-ray-like renderings, we show how to both construct and compute a correct volumetric dataset in order to display lightfields on those devices. The paper also discusses the limits of such displays.
