| Item Description: |
From a project that grew out of collaboration with Ferrara University (Italy) to understand the factors that affect the opto-electronic properties of quantum dots using a new theoretical framework. This paper successfully demonstrated the crucial interplay between the surface and the interior of the dot to allow the subsequent application as a biosensor. This work has now led to a substantial collaboration with Texas A&M University. The author made a substantial contribution to the conception and design of the study, the organisation of the study and to the development of the theoretical model. |
