Item Description: |
The work presented here was an invited input to a special issue of Desalination on New Directions in Desalination. The work investigates the use of existing freezing technology as applied to the desalination of sea water and RO brines. The work takes a different approach to most in this field as it does not look at the technology as a stand alone technique but as an add-on to existing processes. Inclusion of this technique can significantly increase the freshwater yield of a given feed for either seawater or RO brine. |
