Hays planned the fieldwork, undertook fieldwork with his post-doc (Houghton) and his NERC funded Ph.D student (Myers), and conducted all the data analysis and writing. Equipment funded by a NERC Small Grant awarded to Hays. Work has led to major international efforts (e.g. WWF http://www.panda.org/atlantic_leatherbacks) to protect leatherbacks from extinction. |
