Item Description: It was discovered that a small number of molecular hydrogen ions trapped with the positrons could interact with antiprotons to form the proton-antiproton bound state known as antiprotonic hydrogen, or protonium. Charlton was pivotal in interpreting the experimental data and in preparing the manuscript for publication.
