This paper reflects cooperation under the EU Cost programme and gives one of the first interpretations and ramifications of biometrics over the internet. The contributions to the paper of Drs Mason and Auckenthaler relate to technology behind the UWS submission to two independent speaker recognition evaluations with world-wide participation: NIST in 2004 and UK MoD. After gaining some of the best performances in both cases the related technology became integrated into current UK MoD surveillance systems. |
