<p>This paper proposed a novel random-binning based distributed source coding (DSC) scheme for the wireless sensor networks (WSNs). The proposed scheme is thoroughly analyzed, adaptively controlled and optimized in terms of target detection and energy performances. The work advances theoretic research, practical design and applications of DSC in WSNs. It is anticipated to make large impact on research of improving WSN energy and bandwidth efficiency.</p> |
