Item Description:
This work presents a novel class of multidimensional binary block codes. One important application of these codes is a novel paradigm for concatenation of one-dimensional codewords, such that the minimum Hamming distance of concatenated codewords can be increased significantly while the transmission bandwidth does not increase at all. Hence, such encoding significantly increases the spectral efficiency, and, at the same time, the reliability of the communication link.
