Item Description:
Noise is a big problem in microarray imaging technology, severely affecting the accuracy of the test results. The introduction of wavelet analysis in microarray denoising was sparked from a successful application of wavelet analysis in power system fault detection and location where very weak fault signals were extracted from strong background noise. Since the publication of this paper, more publications have followed from other groups applying wavelet analysis in denoising microarray images.
