Item Description: This paper describes the essential features of the HY3D code that was developed with the support of BAE Systems. This was adopted as the basic electromagnetic solver for the EPSRC/BAE Systems FLAVIIR project (GR/S715520). In its present form, HY3D is regarded by BAE Systems as an internationally competitive predictive tool for general RF threat analysis (David Rowse, It has already been used by BAE Systems, in joint projects with the UK Government and European collaborators, for calculating resonant fields in vehicles.
