Abstract: This chapter looks at the work in astronomy and cosmology of two of Tycho Brahe's assistants, Christian Longomontanus and Cort Aslakssøn, after they left Brahe's service. It considers the contested historiography of Philippist natural philosophy - with some scholars denying that such a thing can be securely identified at all - and argues that the work of these successors to Tycho Brahe displays features that are both Brahean and _characteristic_ of Philippist concerns and approaches, even if they are not _unique_ to this particular form of Lutheran scholarship.
