Abstract: The health policy agenda in Wales highlights the place of Prudent Healthcare (WG, 2014). Prudent Healthcare is built around a guiding set of principles for service providers to apply and include; •Co-production.•Promote equity. •Do no harm. •Carry out the minimum appropriate intervention. Physiotherapists are ideally placed to deliver on this agenda as they work across sectors and their focus is on rehabilitation and maximising quality of life. As such it is vital that Physiotherapists and their teams grasp the Prudent Health care approach to meet the policy agenda and more importantly to ensure delivery of person-centred care. The aim of this report is to explore Physiotherapists, and their teams, understanding of Prudent Healthcare and identify a variety of practical approaches to Prudent Healthcare. Drawing on a survey, undertaken during 2015, of Physiotherapy activity a range of types of Prudent Physiotherapy services delivered in Wales today are identified. The report concludes with proposals for future activity.
