<p>Poster presented at Swansea University<br />3rd Annual Excellence in Learning and Teaching Conference May 17th 2011</p><p>The Assignment Survival Kit (ASK) <a href="http://ask.swan.ac.uk/" target="new">http://ask.swan.ac.uk</a> was developed by the librarians at Swansea University, based on an original idea by the University of Minnesota and Staffordshire University. It is a web-based tool aimed at undergraduates tackling their first essay and is designed to help develop their time management skills. All the students need to do to get started is enter their assignment due date and this tool will give a suggested timescale for completing the assignment. Tasks suggested include planning, finding and evaluating materials and writing a first draft.</p> |
