Abstract: The tomb of Karakhamun contains the earliest version of the Hours of the Night attested in a private sepulchre. It is also the earliest source to contain the series of Hour Watch hymns, which form the basis of the Hours of the Night during the Graeco-Roman Period. This paper presents a preliminary report on the Hours of the Night within the tomb of Karakhamun prior to their intended reconstruction during the 2018 season.
