Abstract: This paper looks at the use of mind maps as an interactive seminar tool. The paper explores the approach taken by the lecturer, the benefits and disadvantages of using such a tool. The paper also explores how students interacted with the mind maps as a tool, whether or not they found them useful. The session will also explore the free software used to create the mind maps as revision aids for the students. This session will add to knowledge and suggest the best methods for introducing mind maps as an interactive tool within the seminar learning environment. This can obviously be replicated within other seminars as a way of determining efficacy of mind maps as a teaching tool.
