Abstract: This paper presents a detailed digital implementation method based on a high-performance digital signal processor (DSP) for a single-phase photovoltaic (PV) inverter control system for the first time. A systemic design method of PLL for high bandwidth control and fast dynamic response is proposed and validated by experiment. The comments from the paper reviewer are: “the proposed a rotating DQ frame based single-phase PLL and was implemented for a single-phase grid-tied PV inverter, which is of significance from practice perspective”. Part of research achievement has been used in an ERDF and an EPSRC grant application.
