Abstract: |
This research was funded by Lloyds Bank Foundation for England and Wales. It was undertaken in Wales with the support and participation of male and female adult counselling clients receiving services from New Pathways (NP), as a result of experiencing sexual violence in childhood and/or as an adult. The research builds on existing knowledge through its emphasis on male and female clients’ experiences of sexual violence counselling; and their views on the content and delivery of a new Diploma in Trauma Counselling: experiences and views which have previously received scant research attention. The findings will inform the development of services which more effectively meet need, and are of relevance to both policy and practice. |
