Abstract: This collection contains nine essays written by speakers from the fifth International Countering Violent Extremism Research Conference, hosted by Swansea University in August 2018 and organised by Hedayah, Swansea University, TRENDS Research & Advisory, UN Women and M&C Saatchi. The essays present findings from a variety of geographical contexts, and offer practical recommendations for policy makers, practitioners, and researchers working in the field of preventing and countering violent extremism.
