Item Description: This work investigated the rejection behaviour of amino acids from a nanofiltration membrane with respect to feed concentration. A review of the previous work conducted in the field was given and then experimental results were presented for the rejection of five different amino acids. The results showed a peculiar anomaly for three of the amino acids in that the rejection increased with concentration, a phenomena which is as yet unexplained.
