| Item Description: |
This paper resulted from a Royal Society funded travel grant with the Institute for Computational Mathematics, Graz University of Technology, Austria aimed at enhancing the performance and accuracy of eddy current solutions. A similar preconditioning technique to that described in the paper has been implemented in the open source NGSolve electromagnetics solver (contact: Dr Sabine Zaglmayr, CST GmbH). ). This work has subsequently led to the award of an EPSRC research grant (EP/K023950/1), together with Schools of Computer Science and Mathematics at Cardiff University, on the inverse solution of the eddy current problem associated with Magnetic Induction Tomography. |
