Item Description: Proposes/evaluates a cross-layer Hierarchical Clustering, Provisioning and Routing(HCPR) scheme to address QoS challenges for delivering multimedia over ad-hoc networks; based on intelligent protocols that optimise multimedia QoS-provisioning by enabling and exploiting interactions between Application, Transport and Network layers. Cross-layer approaches have been introduced over the last few years but no prior work has considered the delicate balance of layered interaction as proposed here. Published in a high-impact (IF= 0.885, 5-Years=0.880) Springer journal, has contributed to a PhD thesis and two invited book-chapters; will continue to attract citations, impact will grow. Contributed to and supported by three EPSRC Digital Economy projects.Notes Excluding 100 words: The three EPSRC projects are (I was PI of these projects for Swansea University):http://gow.epsrc.ac.uk/ViewGrant.aspx?GrantRef=EP/G002134/1 (£ 174K)http://gow.epsrc.ac.uk/ViewGrant.aspx?GrantRef=EP/G002150/1 (£ 184K) http://gow.epsrc.ac.uk/ViewGrant.aspx?GrantRef=EP/G002002/1 (£ 271K)
