Item Description: Recent efficient ozone generators working at low gas flow rates resulted in growing interest in static mixers. However, the design of static mixers at their best process performance is still a challenge. A two-parameter Back Flow Cell Model was developed and tested for ozone transfer in static mixers. It predicted very well the experimental results and was found reliable, accurate and simple to use. Hence it can be used to optimise the design of static mixers for ozonation processes. Chemical Engineering Journal is one of the leading journals in chemical engineering research.
