Item Description: This paper is specially catered to vehicular industry where next generation cars will have adaptive antennas installed on the roof. PI developed this idea after a discussion with BMW antenna expert at a US Antenna Conf. The PI told that the best antenna for car would be the one which only radiates on sides and noting on top and bottom. As reception of car signal is mainly from sides. The BMW guy said he is unaware of such an antenna. This motivated the PI and in this paper he put forward such an antenna. The loop antenna proposed here has the potential of doubling the receive RF power in vehicles. If we need high speed internet in our fast moving cars, this antenna is one of the few which very soon would be adopted by premium car manufacturers.
