| Abstract: |
The aim of this thesis is to examine specific ontological and cosmological principles of the original thirteenth-century Andalusian thinker, Muhyiddin Ibn ‘Arabi, and to demonstrate the application of said select principles in my creative work, The Zagra Valley Codices, a fictional ‘sacred text’. By reflecting on various influences outside of ibn ‘Arabi, and examining specific doctrines, demonstrating their application, this thesis aims to show how Ibn ‘Arabi’s school of metaphysics offers a wide range of unique literary possibilities. |
