<p class="results">District nurse Dorothy Coates calls to see a patient, John, who has been recuperating at home from a stroke for 3months. Under her care, he has made steady progress even though he lives alone. Sadly, however, today she finds the patient apparently dead in his bed. Dorothy wonders if there will have to be an inquest. He made it clear to her that were he to die he wanted to be buried next to his childhood sweetheart. John has not left a will and is survived by his wife from whom he has been estranged for many years. On hearing of her husband’s death she immediately begins making arrangements for him to be cremated.</p> |
