However, no research has investigated the technology concerns and needs of Nigerian CP stakeholders to enhance their engagement in CP initiatives. This study, using qualitative interviews, explores the perspectives of the Nigerian citizens and police officers on their technology needs for meaningful participation in community policing activities. Using a purposive sampling approach and thematic analysis of interview data, this study identifies key technological concerns and desired features of mobile surveillance and communication technologies that can enhance participation in community policing . Further findings reveal conflicting options in the choice of visibility of surveillance devices between the citizens and police.
