Abstract: The purpose of this study was to identify the root causes of inefficient supply chain management (SCM) for agricultural food items in Bangladesh. It was found that the application of information technology (IT) through mobile phones, namely m-commerce, could maintain a seamless flow of communication between farmers and retailers, effectively eliminating unnecessary middlemen.
