Current work now considers cavitation and freezing of aqueous systems in collaboration with colleagues from the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA). Potential applications include technologies for bacterial cell disruption, synthesis of structured products and solute extraction including desalination. Led to synchrotron beam-time (DIAMOND) in collaboration with Instituto de Technologia Quimica Biologia (ITQB), Lisbon, and neutron beam time awarded at ISIS (NIMROD).
