Item Description: Membrane nanofiltration is an innovative process for separations in the pharmaceutical, food and water industries, including desalination. Design of such processes requires quantitative predictive methods. This is a definitive account of how such calculations may be approached. The methods described have been extensively adopted on a world-wide basis by both industry and academia. An example of the adaptation and exploitation of these approaches for a specific industrial process in given in (3).
