| Item Description: |
<p>The manuscript applies a fully coupled finite element solution to the problem of subsidence in off-shore platforms in the North Sea. This is the first time that this methodology has been applied to such problems and the numerical results clearly correlate well with observed settlements. The approach is important as it can distinguish effects which the uncoupled models cannot achieve. Contact: Mr A Makurat, Shell International Exploration and Production B.V., P.O.
