Abstract: Systematic review and meta-analysis of eight observational studies and three RCTs comparing infliximab and ciclosporin in the treatment of steroid resistant acute severe colitis. While non-randomised studies consistently favour infliximab, this is not supported by RCTs which show no difference between the two drugs in clinical outcomes.
