Abstract: This study identifies the causes of the withdrawl of students on the online undergraduate degree provided by E-College Wales (ECW) which is the enterprise e-learning centre at the University of Glamorgan. The research surveed 71 students, who were at the Coleg Sir Gar and Coleg Morgannwg partner colleges on the BA Enterprise degree. Thus study contributes to knowledge by providing evidence of withdrawal issues and identifies key strategies to overcome their influence. the paper will assist e-learning providers to identify the causes of student withdrawal and to create strategies and systems to monitor and improve student retention.
