Transformational entrepreneurship is related to the concept of challenge-based entrepreneurship, as it is an important and socially significant type of entrepreneurship that transcends cultural barriers (Anggadwita et al., 2016). Transformation is a popular term used by entrepreneurship practitioners to indicate major changes in society and when combined with entrepreneurship it is presumed to have superior competitive capabilities that influence market performance (Moscardo, 2014).
