Item Description: |
This paper is the result of a research collaboration between Swansea and MIT (USA) which follows on from a long standing collaboration in the area of strict solution bounds in linear and nonlinear elasticity. The paper extends the evaluation of strict bounds to the nonlinear field of limit analysis. The key novelty is that through adaptive mesh refinement strict upper and lower bounds of arbitrary precision can be given. The paper has already attracted much interest by leading international authors in the field. The work was first presented in a plenary lecture at ADMOS- Goteborg. |
