Item Description: |
This is one of the publications arising from a long standing collaboration with MIT and Sandia Laboratories on adaptivity in explicit solid dynamics (J. Stewart, Sandia National Laboratories, Albuquerque, Grant Number: Doc. No. 1152 under A0260, jrstewa@sandia.gov). The work and associated funding facilitated three PhD studentships at Swansea and contributed to developments of the PRESTO codes at Sandia which are replacing the old PRONTO explicit dynamic code. The work was first presented in the semi-plenary lecture at the 2008 world congress of computational mechanics in Venice (over 3000 participants). |
