The novelty is that one antenna can generate 6 distinct high radiation patterns (4 titled, 1 axial and 1 semi doughnut). This means, one STAR act as 6 separate antennas. Crucial for modern day communication perspective as wireless signal arrival can change its direction multiple number of times per minute.
