Item Description: |
This paper was chosen for a special issue on "Laser Processing" to review the work done of femtosecond writing, being the group recognized as a world leader. The paper reports the world first demonstration of wavaguide laser and amplifier at 1.5 micron directly written with femtosecond laser pulses. Impact Factor: 1.63 International Collaboration: Politecnico di Milano (Italy). Citations so far : 27 Follow up: Strong impact on industry. Lab-on chip fabrication. Fast prototyping. Further progress demonstrated world-record single-frequency output from a single-waveguide (80mW) and shortest (0.8 cm) integrated waveguide lasers. Invitation to Swansea participate to funded FP7 LIFT project. |
