Abstract: A research programme was set up to investigate the effects of a number of process variables on the structure and selected properties of a hot forged alloy of Copper - 10% Nickel powder compacts and to examine the processes occurring during the hot forging operation. X-ray analysis was also performed on a range of compacts to study any variations in homogeneity resulting from the use of different powders and process variables.
