| Abstract: |
This book integrates principles of growth and personal development with insights from contemporary spirituality and selected material from the Qur’an, Prophetic Hadith, and classical Arabic poetry to examine how shifts in cognition and emotional interpretation shape human experience. It analyses how these sources, drawn from distinct intellectual and historical contexts, converge on shared perspectives concerning perception, meaning-making, and emotional transformation.Written for a general, educated readership, the book adopts a reflective second-person mode of address, directly engaging the reader in re-evaluating external events and internal responses. It includes numerous practical examples ranging from everyday experiences to major personal trauma, demonstrating how such situations can be reinterpreted toward more constructive and emotionally resilient states of mind. The work also contains structured exercises designed to support experiential engagement and personal application. An introductory chapter outlines the book’s academic and methodological foundations, and an annotated bibliography situates the work within relevant scholarly, spiritual, and literary traditions. A concluding section provides brief biographical profiles of selected key authors in the fields of personal growth, contemporary spirituality, and personal development. |
