Item Description: This a recently published paper on the work involving the used of membrane technology to isolate and purify bacteriocines from lactic acid bacterial broths. This not only used membranes to isolates the materials but also the use of membranes to pre-treat the starting growth media (low molecular weight media) so facilitating the larger bacteriocines from the fermentation broths. The referee made the following comment "These findings are absolutely necessary for the development of new antimicrobial agents".
