Abstract: This article explores the potential of composting green waste both to reduce biodegradable waste volumes and to generate income from sales of the compost product. Appropriate marketing strategies can only be achieved if the characteristics of the product contribute to its attractiveness to the consumer. This project is an empirical study which uses conjoint analysis to explore consumer preferences within the composting industry in Wales.
