Item Description: This work is critical for understanding how actin fibers polymerise in real living cells, leading to a better understanding of phenomena such as cell motility, crucial to life itself. Knowing how cells move is crucial for a deeper understanding of many types of cancer also. This work is at the very leading edge of research in this field, and was lucky enough to gain maximum exposure by being published in what is one of the most premier and prestigious physics journals.
