Abstract: Designed to disseminate further research findings, but also to provide a context on how and why we should develop a skilled workforce that are able to support families and children effectively when it comes to working in this highly charged and emotive environment. It highlighted some of the barriers that prevent this from happening and how they could be addressed through undergraduate curriculums but also out in the practice environment. It also provided the conference participants with up-to-date knowledge and dissemination of local recently undertaken research. This presentation supports a recently published article.
