Abstract: As in all higher education we strive to develop our teaching to achieve a high level delivery and to create a high student satisfaction outcome. This study will look at the impact of learning technologies used during accelerated teaching to enhance students learning. The study looked at the period during and after COVID. The content of the modules during this period was delivered both face to face and virtually through a live zoom platform. New technologies were introduced including a virtual reality exercise via a youtube platform and google docs as an interactive method for students to participate in various exercises during the learning period to enhance and support the student experience. The study will look to answer the following research question during the period:- Was the use of technology in accelerated learning successful?- Did the use of technology in accelerated learning increase student engagement?- How did the use of technology affect student performance? To measure outcomes for the study, students were asked to complete a questionnaire. This questionnaire was a combination of numerical scored questions and open questions allowing the students to provide more detailed observations. The questionnaire covered the students learning experience, their understanding and the effectiveness of these technologies in accelerated teaching. The lecturers involved in the accelerated teaching delivery were interviewed to gain their feedback on the outcome of the technologies used and to highlight any areas for improvement. The initial results from the study found that students favoured the use of technology in accelerated learning. A literature review was also performed to evaluate the literature relating to the use of technology in accelerated learning and comparing the findings in the literature to the study.
