Abstract: This work studies the applicability of Just-In-Time in non-repetitive contexts, where the product is customized and the customer demand is uncertain. Based on the analysis of 244 companies, our findings suggest that Just-In-Time can be applied also in non-repetitive companies, even though the uncertainty of the demand negatively moderates the relationship between Just-In-Time and delivery.
